About Us
We are Crewe Clarion Wheelers and we provide a focal point for cyclists of all disciplines and abilities in Crewe and surrounding areas. We offer our members a wide range of activities ranging from:
• Club runs
• Ladies only rides
• Training rides
• Racing
• Audax
• UK and overseas tours
• Social events.
With a 70/30 mix of male / female riders, we have a wealth of experience and welcome new members of all abilities. Please get in touch if you would like any further information.
Group Rides
The club has several club runs and training rides every week throughout the year. Whether you are an experienced club rider or a novice wishing to learn the etiquette of group cycling, we have a ride to suit you.
Racing
We have a healthy racing section within the club with several members competing in a variety of events throughout the year. We also organise several time trials throughout the season, both flat and hilly.
Tour & Audax Cycling
Local cycling is great, but when we get the chance to explore further afield, our club members jump at the opportunity. Each year we have two overseas excursions and one UK weekend away, while smaller groups arrange impromptu overnight/weekend breaks away.
Our Audax involvement has increased hugely in the last year or so with riders embarking on long and short distance rides in the UK and overseas.
